Why do you use organic sugarcane alcohol in your perfumes?

Well, the dirty little secret is that most brands use something called denatured alcohol for the base of their fragrance. Alcohol is a necessary component of any perfume formulation as it acts as the carrier and helps to project the fragrance when applied. Most brands use denatured alcohol to save on costs.....it's really that simple (if they're cutting costs on alcohol, where else are they cutting costs?). Denatured alcohol includes additional chemicals like Bitrex, which allows companies to avoid the extra alcohol taxes collected on food grade alcohol. Bitrex has a very strong chemical smell, that most people associate with and confuse for pure alcohol. 100% organic sugarcane alcohol actually has no smell at all.
