Why do you use organic sugarcane alcohol in your perfumes?

  • Have you ever wondered why some perfumes have a strong alcohol smell when first applied? Well, the dirty little secret is that most brands use something called denatured alcohol for the base of their fragrance. Alcohol is a necessary component of any perfume formulation as it acts as the carrier and helps to project the fragrance when applied. Most brands use denatured alcohol to save on costs.....it's really that simple (if they're cutting costs on alcohol, where else are they cutting costs?). Denatured alcohol includes additional chemicals like Bitrex, which allows companies to avoid the extra alcohol taxes collected on food grade alcohol. Bitrex has a very strong chemical smell, that most people associate with and confuse for pure alcohol. 100% organic sugarcane alcohol actually has no smell at all.

  • We use organic sugarcane alcohol as the base for our perfumes because it is sustainable, eco-friendly, and provides a clean, scent-free, and neutral foundation that allows the fragrance notes to shine. This obviously doesn't smell exactly like Aventus an is definitely a darker freshy because of the middle notes. After 5 minutes it turns into a nice dark jasmine. But overall amazing packaging and they also gave a free 10ml sample of another of their fragrences. (Was typing this just when I sprayed it and was smelling it with the creed to)

I think I own over 15 aventus dupes by this point. I literally buy every single one that gets advertised to me. This one took me off guard because I didn’t expect much. The bottles look like a straight rip off of Dossier. However, this is easily the most spot on dupe of the original Aventus I’ve ever smelled. It has the fresh pineapple opening and the smoky and spicy dry down. That said, it doesn’t last all that long like I saw somebody else mentioned, but the real aventus doesn’t last long either. Quick suggestion to Desmirage….change your bottles. I’m going to try some others from you but you need to offer a bigger variety and you need to change your bottles and those cardboard boxes you package them in.
